The panel of Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh has won the independent student union of Rapti Babai campus Tulsipur. Pramod Bhandari has been elected as the chairman. Bhandari got 737 votes, while his closest competitor, Lekhmani Khatri of the Joint Student Panel, got 389 votes. There was competition between four people including two independents for the chairmanship. Among the two independent candidates, Komal Bahadur Wali got 137 votes and Krishna KC got 29 votes.
Top Bahadur Wali was elected as the secretary after receiving 612 votes. His closest rival, Sonia Thapa of the Joint Student Panel, secured 565 votes. Anita Dagi, an independent candidate for the post of secretary, got 57 votes. Shiksha Nepali was elected as treasurer by getting 562 votes, while Tilakraj Dangi of the joint student panel got 447 votes. Asik Mian of the Independent got 95 votes.
Among the direct members, Manisha Chaudhary 762, Rupesh Chaudhary 754, Yamkumari Bhandari 746, Sanjiv Chaudhary 714, Mamta Wali 739, Karuna Nepali 715 and Lakshman Wali have been elected with 825 votes. Elected officer Deepak Paudel informed that only Dilip Sharma of the joint panel was elected as a member with 553 votes.
Neb Bahadur Bhandari got 486 votes, Kabi Sen Sin got 495 votes, Prem KC got 468 votes, Anita Khadka got 464 votes and Tulsi Ram Bhandari got 490 votes.
Election Officer Poudel said that out of 3,314 students studying in the campus, only 1,417 participated in the voting.
