Tribhuvan Army has maintained its unbeaten run in the Prime Minister's Cup Men's National Cricket Tournament. In the departmental derby held on Monday, Tribhuvan Army continued its winning streak by defeating APF Club by three wickets.
Chasing the target of 142 runs given by APF at Extratech Oval ground in Tilottama, Army scored 145 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 42.5 overs. Kushal Malla added 31 unbeaten runs in Army's win. Malla hit four fours and a six off 59 balls. Sompal Kami, who entered the field last, contributed 22 unbeaten runs.
Vivesh Yadav was dismissed for 26 Basid and Ahmed for 13 runs. In bowling, captain Rohit Paudel, Kamalsingh Airy and Amarsingh Rautela took 2 wickets each for APF . One wicket remained in the name of Kishore Mahato .
Before that, after the Army won the toss and chose to field, APF, who batted first, lost all wickets in 42 overs and made a total of 141 runs. Sandeep Zora played a half century innings of 65 runs for APF. Zora hit 9 fours in 91 balls .
Apart from Amar Rautela and Bhuvan Karki scoring identical 11/11 runs, other batsmen could not score runs in double figures . Opener Lokesh Bam 4, Ashif Sheikh 6 and captain Rohit Paudel were dismissed for 4 runs. Kishore Mahato scored 11 runs. Akash Chand alone took four wickets for Army in bowling. Chand bowled 10 overs and spent 35 runs. While Sompal Kami took 3 wickets and Shahab Alam took 2 wickets, Basir Ahmed got one wicket.
With this result, the undefeated Army remains at the second position of the table with 10 points. APF has dropped to the fourth position .
