A temporary police station has been established at Shitganga Municipality-11 Dohote. Shittaganga Nagar Chief Chabilal Paudel inaugurated the post at Dohote in the forest area under Sandhikhark-Gorusinge road on Sunday. Due to the geographical complexity of this area, there are many forest areas and thin settlements.
There is a team of 6 policemen under the leadership of Deputy Inspector of Police Veshlal Budhathoki at the post. At the inauguration, City Chief Paudel said that there is a need for such police stations in three or four more places in Shitaganga Municipality, which is the largest in the country in terms of area.
He said that he is also taking initiatives for the establishment of an area administration office in Thada of Shitganga. The prime minister and the home minister have repeatedly been drawn to the establishment of the local administration office. It is very necessary here,' he said. He demanded that the union government should approve an administration office in Thada to provide easy service to the common people in remote areas from the headquarters.
Chief District Officer Bavuram Aryal said that the establishment of the checkpoint will facilitate maintaining law and order and control crime. Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Malla said that the police will not back down to maintain law and order.
