Three people with sal wood and tractor under the control of the police

The police have detained three people along with a tractor and sal wood pellets that were being taken to the furniture industry. Tam Thapa, driver Shivcharan Chamar, driver Shivcharan Chamar, driver Vishnu Pandey along with the tractor No. 5 to 11 60, which was taken into custody on Friday night, were taken into custody.

Narayandev Bhattarai, Head of Division Forest Office, Palpa, said that 12 'B' grade sal pellets and 42.05 cubic feet of wood were recovered loaded on a tractor. According to the division forest office, wood was recovered along with the tractor while taking it from Tansen municipality-6 to the furniture industry at Sarai in Mathagadhi rural municipality. At around 12 o'clock in the night, the police arrested the tractor while carrying wood. 

Thapa, who owns wood, has claimed that it is the plaintiff's wood. According to Khil Bahadur Tamang, Information Officer of Division Forest Office, Palpa, further investigation is yet to be done regarding the recovered wood. According to the Forest Act and regulations, even if it is a private claimant, the timber must be cut and transported only after making a document approved by the Division Forest Office. The office has appointed Vishnu Karki as an investigation officer to investigate the case. An investigation has been started against them by the district court with an extension of time.
