Holi is being celebrated with joy in Banke on Friday. Holi shops and cultural programs have been organized at various places. Holi Milan program has been organized at Tribhuvan Chowk, Sutherline, BP Chowk, Dhamboji Chowk in Nepalgunj.

Especially in the Terai district of Awadh, people from children to the elderly are hanging on the color of Holi. Awadhi writer Vishnulal Kumal said, "Nowadays, the new generation does not follow that culture except the old generation."

Fairs and festivals are organized in various places targeting Holi.

To prevent unwanted activities on Holi, the administration has increased security alert in Terai districts. The police has mobilized with a special security plan to take action against those who do activities such as painting without permission, shouting, making unnecessary noise, quarreling, and indecent behavior.
