Energy Minister Deepak Khadka targeted the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, and said that everyone should discourage those who do unlimited work.

Inaugurating the 66th Annual General Meeting of Siddharth Industry and Commerce Association in Bhairahawa on Friday, Minister Khadka said that the trend of undisciplined and unlimited work by gathering crowds in the name of cheap popularity will ruin the country. He also said that the authority has done injustice to 22 industries by asking for payment of demand and unused electricity in the name of dedicated electricity arrears. He said that he did not accept the authority to investigate this.

If the dedicated electricity line is used, the businessmen have an obligation to pay the fee honestly, but it is a tyranny on the businessmen to make them pay the fee for the unused line with fines and cutting the line of the industry. This kind of injustice and tyranny should not happen in the country. It is the responsibility of the government to protect those who have been wronged in this way," Minister Khadka said, "The government will not allow this kind of injustice and atrocities to happen, it will take some time, but the government will stop doing it."

To increase the source of income for the prosperity of the country, he said that the government has put forward a ten-year plan by using internal resources and giving priority to electricity production and consumption. "Consequently, the government has moved forward with the goal of producing 28,500 megawatts of electricity in 10 years and consuming more than 13,500 megawatts internally," he said, adding that there is a plan to sell electricity left over from internal consumption to India and Bangladesh.
