A Panini conference will be held in Arghakhanchi in March. The 'Panini Conference' is going to be held on the 27th and 28th of Chait at Panina, the penance place of Maharishi Panini, the father of Sanskrit grammar.

With the financial support of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Transport of the Government of Lumbini Province, the conference is going to be held at the square in the forest at Panina, the confluence of Ward No. 1 and 2, under the joint project of Tourism Development Council Butwal and Panini Rural Municipality. 

Panini's history, current situation, future plans are going to be held at Panini's penance place, according to Romnath Neupane, the chief administrative officer of the village. Religious gurus and Sanskrit scholars will participate in the conference, he said. He said that there will be presentations about the master plan of Panini Tapobhoomi and a conference is going to be held with the aim of developing tourism by creating a master plan while preserving the natural beauty of the world and bringing Hindu religion and Sanskrit language lovers here.  The chairman of the rural municipality, Tekraj Neupane, said that Union Government Finance Minister, Tourism Minister, Chief Minister of Lumbini Province along with ministers, parliamentarians, public representatives, party leaders, intellectuals and others will be present at the

conference. "We are holding a national level conference to make Panini known to the world," he said. The federal government has included Panini among the hundred tourist destinations.

"Panini is a historical destination," said Achyut Gautam, the former president of Panini Rural Municipality, "If you touch this place with your bare feet all day long, you get a different energy ." There are snow ranges, cool climate, beautiful scenery. Meditating here is very enjoyable.'  

He said that there is a history of sage Panini who came to Khidim in Arghakhanchi from Lahore, Pakistan and composed Sanskrit grammar after doing penance in Panina lake.
