The fire that broke out on Samsarnat Hill of Palpa's Ribdikot Rural Municipality-1 and 2 since Tuesday afternoon has not been brought under control till Wednesday morning.
A severe fire has broken out in the lower and upper hill areas under the road connecting Khyaha from Hartok to Deurali. Omprakash Pokharel, Ward President of Ribdikot Rural Municipality-2, Deurali, said that the Fire Brigade of Tansen Municipality, Nepali Army, Armed Police, Janpath Police, Sub-Division Office staff, local residents, public representatives have been deployed since Wednesday morning to control the fire in the forest of Salla.
Gairagaon of Khyaha, Pokhardanda of Deurali, Laghwa, Dambak and other villages are at risk of fire . Kanta Adhikari, Vice President of Ribdikot Rural Municipality, informed that although the drinking fountain, tank, and electric transformer could be saved, they could not control the deadlo in the forest area. Pokhardanda village area of Deurali has become risk free.
Khyaha's Garagaon, Deurali's Dambak and Laghwa are still at risk, so since Wednesday morning, local residents, security personnel, public representatives have been deployed to control the fire . Dadelo has destroyed nearly 18 hectares of two community forests. Khil Bahadur Tamang, Information Officer of Division Forest Office, Palpa, informed that the fire could not be controlled due to the high number of weeds in the forest and the strong wind. Locals have said that the fire caused the transformer to shut down. Information Officer of the Division Forest Office, Tamang, said that the forest was on fire due to the wind and the fire from the power transformer.
