Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar has said that all the southern borders, which were closed during the Covid-19 pandemic, have started operations.

While inaugurating the newly constructed building of Immigration Office Belhia Bhairahawa on Tuesday, the Home Minister said that all the southern borders from Pashupatinagar to Mahakali through Kakdbhita in the east have been operational and the movement of tourists is going on.

He said that Belhia Immigration Office in Bhairahawa is the second largest office after Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu in terms of tourist traffic. He said that it is necessary to make the Belhia Immigration Office more organized and equipped.

Many tourists come to Nepal from Belhia pass because of Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. In recent days, the arrival of tourists from all the ports is good. We are organizing it and creating a tourism-friendly environment,' he said.

Immigration is a mirror of the country, he said, so the staff and security personnel should treat tourists and public service users in a humble, simple and sweet manner.

Claiming that there are good signs in the country's economy recently, he said that some ordinances have been issued to solve the problems seen in the economy and create a business environment, and they will soon be passed by the parliament and implemented.
