A tiger cub was found dead in a rotting condition in Bhawani Community Forest, Gularia Municipality-12.
The tiger cub was found dead while patrolling by the team of forest and community forest user groups. Vijayraj Subedi, Head of Division Forest Office, Bardia, said that an investigation is being conducted to determine whether it was killed or due to natural causes.
In the preliminary investigation, it is suspected that the tiger cub died after being abandoned by its mother. For some time now, tigers have been roaming in the forests of the community and intermediate areas of Bardiya.
According to the calculation of 2022, there are 125 tigers in Bardia.
