During rainy season, it is common for vehicles to slip, not tow and not tow due to mud. But even in winter, the compulsion to push vehicles is still present on the Rampur-Mityal-Arunkhola road in Palpa.

From the Kaligandaki Corridor road in Rampur to Mityal, the drivers and passengers have to suffer at various places on the road connecting the East Nawalparasi Arunkhola East-West Mahendra Highway in Gandaki Province. The track of this road was opened 15 years ago. But due to lack of upgradation in time, vehicle drivers and passengers of this area have complained that they are suffering whenever it is raining or winter. Under the

road, the road has been damaged in many places between Mityal and Arunkhola. Local Yam Bahadur Saru Magar said that the road division will issue contracts but the builders do not work on time in the Gurubhanjang area between Chirubas and Mudhabas of Mityal, not only in rainy season but also in winter. Here, the Gagreto road makes it difficult for vehicles to operate . He complains that the situation is the same from Beldanda to Mityal. 

The digging of the road started almost five decades ago to fulfill the dream of the residents of this region to reach the plains from the mountains in a short distance . Even though the track was opened 15 years ago, the 500 meters in Arunkhola area was not upgraded and it was stuck for 8 years . After the local elections, the road upgradation to Arunkhola has been completed. Nearly 9 kilometers of roads in the Gandaki region have been blacked out.

In Nisdi Rural Municipality-4, south of Mityal towards Palpa, local resident Lal Bahadur Thapa said that when the road division office Palpa is delayed in its work, it is forced to push vehicles not only in rainy season but also in winter. During the rainy season, the locals were always suffering for four months . The drawing of the road started 50 years ago . Due to the delay of the concerned bodies, the 26 km road upgrading work from Beldanda to Arunkhola Jalukeghat has not been completed yet. 

After 2074, this is the access road connecting Nisdi rural municipality center. The 7 km road from Rampur to Galdha Beldanda under this road was completed in 2068. Tirankumari Shrestha, a local resident and vice president of Nisdi Rural Municipality, said that due to the lack of maintenance, the black sheet of the road has become unusable. According to him, the vehicles have changed their route due to the potholes and debris on the road due to lack of maintenance. The road is so damaged that small vehicles cannot move. 

"After the Kaligandaki Corridor was blacked up to Pipaldanda on the Siddharth Highway, there has been a decrease in traffic on the road connecting Beldanda to the old Aryabhanjang," she said. is . 

Due to the delay in the road upgradation work, passengers have to suffer all the time.  Vice President Shrestha complains that due to the lack of coordination between the federal, state and local levels, the multi-crore budget that is allocated every year has not been properly utilized. "Due to which there has been negligence even in the work done by the road division," she said, "budget allocation takes place". There is also a contract, but if it is not done properly, the residents of this area have to suffer all the time.' She said that after it was found that the work was done badly last year, they were forced to demolish it and re-work it. 

Mahendra Highway can be reached at a distance of 47 km from Rampur in the Kaligand corridor. Residents of this area have to travel about 110 kilometers long if they use another road. Padam Bahadur Khamcha, a resident of Mityal, said that there is a problem in transporting the materials produced in the village to the market, taking patients for treatment, and moving around. "Until now, we have had to suffer a lot because we have not paid attention to the upgradation of the road," he said. The budget always comes through allocation but the work is never completed.

The dream of the residents of this area to reach Mahendra Highway through this road has been since 2030. The track was arranged after 12 years ago by the efforts of Lakshmi Prasad Gyawali, the campaigner of this road. Gyawali opened the track by spending more than crores on investment alone. In recent years, the federal government has allocated at least 50 million more budget every year, but due to the negligence of the builders, the work is stalled. 

A concrete bridge has been constructed at Jaluke Ghat connecting Palpa and East Nawalparasi in Arunkhola, but due to the lack of upgrading of the road leading to it, drivers and passengers have to suffer all the time, said Santabir Sunari, Ward President of Nisdi Rural Municipality-4, Mityal . "It has always been heard that the budget has been allocated from the road division," he said, "but the road has not been upgraded."

Durga Gautam, Information Officer of Road Division Office, Palpa, said that although contracts were awarded in the past on the Rampur-Mityal-Arunkhola road, there was a problem when the builders did not work on time . "There is a problem due to the delay in the work of the previous contracts," he said, "There are three to four years old contracts on this road, which has caused some delay in the work." Although there was a budget allocation of 12 million last year and 13 million this year, the contract has not been awarded for two years because the old works have not been completed. 

Road Division Palpa has said that due to delay in the work of three contracts on Rampur-Mityal-Jalukeghat Arunkhola road, it has not been able to re-contract . The builders of both the contracts did not work on time . Under the road, Subedi Construction Service under Nisdi Rural Municipality, Bhimad Tanahun has not completed the contract with an estimated cost of 1 crore 93 lakh 21 thousand.

The construction business who signed the contract on June 6, 2078 must complete it on June 25, 2080 . Contract agreement for retaining wall, drain construction, gabion, widening and other works has been signed. 82 percent of it has been done . Through Amrit Construction Palpa, an agreement was reached on February 2, 2078, and another contract of Rs. According to the contract, 60 percent of the work has been done.
