Oxygen production has stopped in Bardia District Hospital, Gularia. The plant was established three years ago at Hospital Hata with the help of the federal government after the lack of oxygen during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The plant, which is producing 20 mm of oxygen daily, needs to be serviced in three years.
hospital's medical superintendent Dr. Subhash Pandey said that the oxygen plant has been closed for about 6 months. ``5 lakh 36 thousand rupees were required for servicing,'' he said.
A pipeline has been installed to store oxygen from a plant built inside the hospital. The oxygen plant was constructed at a cost of more than 81 lakh 90 thousand and the pipeline was extended at a cost of 45 lakh. According to the hospital, a building has been constructed for the plant at a cost of 18 lakhs. There are big cylinders of 75/75 liter capacity in the plant.
The oxygen plant has been established with a conditional grant from the federal government. Patients have been affected after the plant was closed. Now we have to go to Nepalgunj and Kohalpur for oxygen.
At the time of Covid, with the aim of 'my contribution to oxygen for me', the young businessmen here contributed greatly to the establishment of the oxygen bank .
