There was a clash between two groups in Palhinandan Rural Municipality Belaspur of West Nawalparasi. According to the police, there was a clash between some people of Belaspur and Prasauni over the love marriage of a local couple.
Locals told the police that the clash broke out after the boy's side came to the house of the Ketaf side and tried to set it on fire. The police fired two rounds in the air to control the clash. Protesters also set fire to a police vehicle.
Police Superintendent Gyanendra Prasad Phuyal of District Police Office West Nawalparasi said that some people were injured in the clash and the situation has been brought under control. Now a large amount of security personnel has been mobilized.
