Khim Bahadur Budha Magar, a 40-year-old resident of Triveni rural municipality-6 Thumka tol of West Rolpa, has been detained by the police on the charge of killing his wife by hitting her with a machete.

According to the police, after receiving information about the incident on Tuesday morning, the police team reached the scene and arrested the 32-year-old wife  Asmita Budha involved in Magar's murder  Khim Bahadur was arrested on the charge. The police investigation revealed that there was a wound on the neck of the deceased as if it had been beaten by a hawk.

To investigate the incident, a police team of 10 people led by police sub-inspector Diwas Hitang from the Nerpa police station and 6 more people led by police inspector Saroj Prajapati from the area police office Holeri arrived at the scene of the incident. is

Thumka is located near the local Kaulabot village. Locals said that Khim Bahadur's family had migrated from Otgaon on the border of Madi and Sukidah-Gangadev a few years ago. The reason for the incident is not known. The incident site is two hours west of Nerpa Bazar, the center of the rural municipality. Rolpa is about 60 kilometers west of Liwang, the headquarters.

Police Inspector Rohit Kumar Shahi, information officer of the district police office in Rolpa, said that the investigation into the incident is continuing and preparations are being made to send Asmita's body to the hospital for post-mortem. The police have also recovered khukuri from the incident site.

The civil community has become worried about the recent increase in murder cases in Rolpa. Some time ago, his own son killed his father in Gam village in the eastern part of the district and a jeep driver was also killed in Uwa village next to that village. Those involved in the murder have been arrested by the police.
