Seven months after the death of one-and-a-half-year-old Lakshmi Pun of Simalghari, Khajura Rural Municipality-6, Banke, on August 30, the Lumbini State Government has provided a relief of Rs 10 lakh to her family.
So Relief amount has been provided . The officials of the rural municipality handed over relief to the deceased family and promised to provide more necessary support to the victim's family.
Not only in Khajura, compensation has been distributed to 37 households that suffered human and livestock losses from wild animals in Banke district. Compensation has been distributed to 33 families in Raptisonari Rural Municipality, 1 in Khajura Rural Municipality, 1 in Baijnath and 2 in Kohalpur Municipality.
According to Shankar Prasad Gupta, Senior Forest Divisional Officer of Divisional Forest Office, Banke, relief was distributed on Sunday to the families who suffered human and livestock losses from wild animals during two years.
Division Forest Office Banke has distributed compensation equal to 19 lakh 12 thousand five hundred rupees to 36 livestock victims and 10 lakh rupees to 1 human victim.
Forest and Environment Minister of Lumbini Province Devkaran Prasad Kalwar, Forest Secretary Mohanraj Kafle and Raptisonari and Chairman of Khajura Rural Municipality were present in the relief distribution.
Earlier, the federal government was providing relief through the park, but after the creation of the Wildlife Damage Relief Distribution Guideline, 2080, the state government has started providing relief through the Division Forest Office .
