Palpa's Tinau rural municipality has become the first in the district in the performance evaluation of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission. Among the 10 local levels, Tinau rural municipality was the first in the results of the financial year 2080/81 published by the commission.

Tinau has scored the highest 74.2 points in the results published on the basis of performance. According to the commission, Baganaskali Rural Municipality scored 73.7 points, Tansen Municipality scored 71.7 points and came second and third respectively.

In the performance evaluation, Ribdikot Rural Municipality scored 65.7, Rampur Municipality 66.1, Purvkhola Rural Municipality 61.9, Rambha Rural Municipality 59.9, Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality 58.4, Mathagadhi Rural Municipality 57.6 and Nisdi Rural Municipality 57.

The commission has been evaluating according to the local level performance evaluation procedure 2078. Estimates of revenue and income-expenditure for the financial year are evaluated on 17 indicators, including whether the budget is submitted to the village assembly on time, whether the budget is submitted on time, whether the local level sends the revenue to the province and the union on time, education, health, revenue and student enrollment, current and capital expenditures.
