CPN General Secretary Netra Vikram Chand has said that now he wants to make an educational revolution. While inaugurating the Rolpa model campus in his hometown Iribang, Rolpa, on Saturday, he said that after the armed revolution, it is now the responsibility to make an educational revolution.
"Now we have considered the need for an educational revolution, after the armed revolution there will be a need for an educational revolution. Therefore, now is the time for educational revolution," Chand said while inaugurating the Rolpa model campus affiliated to Tribhuvan University in Bagmara, Eribang, "Educational awareness makes people aware . The awakening of education helps to bring about social change.' He said that he was very happy to establish a campus in his village.
'When I was born, there was only a small school in our village. We could not even get secondary level education in the village . For secondary level education, the headquarters had to reach Liwang. But now, when there is a system of campus operation in the village, it is natural for anyone to be happy,'' was his opinion.
Mentioning the event that the rulers were sad when schools were opened for the first time in Nepal during the Rana regime, he also argued that rulers cannot be happy when educational institutions are established. Some may not be happy to know that a campus has been established in the remote area of Rolpa. Those who are against change, who are against the people's war at that time, may not like this campus,' he said.
Chand, who has been living in Kapilvastu for a long time, came to his birth district Rolpa after about 2 years. Before coming to Rolpa, he participated in the party programs organized in Salyan. When he came to his birth village Iribang, he was welcomed by activists and locals playing instruments.
CPN's Rolpa Secretary Prithvi Dangi said that Chand will stay for about a week and participate in the programs organized in Rolpa Jinabang and other places and will also participate in worker training. Chand came to Rolpa on Friday evening.
