A hotel manager in Bhairawa was arrested by the police on Friday morning with 20 kg of narcotic hashish. A team jointly deployed from Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office Bhairawa and Ward Police Office Bhairawa has arrested the said amount of hashish from Chandrasurya Hotel located in Buddha Chowk, Bhairawa.
Sagar Bhattarai, head of Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office, Bhairahawa, said that on the basis of a special warrant, 20 kg of hashish and four businessmen involved in it were arrested. Their names and addresses have not been released by the police. During the arrest, one businessman absconded.
According to Bhattarai, the four arrested youths are from Gajuri in Dhading. The market value of seized hashish in Nepal is more than 9 lakh rupees. This price is more in India. The amount of hashish was recovered from Gajuri in Dhading while it was being taken to India via Bhairahwa.
They booked a room in the said hotel from Wednesday. A room has been booked in the name of Sujan Lama of Balaju, Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Deepak Tamang of Dhading Gajuri Rural Municipality-8 in the hotel details book.
Bhattarai said that the four youths who were arrested are hashish dealers and further investigations and investigations are being conducted.
