In Rupandehi, the son has killed his mother. According to District Police Office Rupandehi, 20-year-old Saroj Pariyar of Sunder Tol located in Kanchan Rural Municipality-1 of the district killed his 45-year-old mother Parvati Pariyar with a sickle.

Ranjit Singh Rathore, Head of District Police Office Bhairahwa, said that Parvati's younger son Saroj stabbed her in the eyes and hands with a sickle at around 1 o'clock on Wednesday night.

'It was understood that Saroj, who killed my mother, had mental problems,' he said, 'he ran away, we managed to arrest him only this morning.'

Only deceased Parvati and her younger son were living in the house . The elder son of deceased Pariyar is in India for employment.
