Former Prime Minister and Chairman of Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the whole structure of Nepal has been damaged due to corruption and it has come to an embarrassing situation. President Dahal said this while inaugurating Shaheed Shamsher Memorial Park in Dhurkot Rural Municipality of Gulmi.

"It is a very ironic situation that the entire structure of Nepal has been damaged by corruption," he said.

At least the political leadership, the bureaucracy, the land-mafia, the initiative that was going on to take the land worth billions of the state in the name of individuals, tried to stop it, by ending social discrimination, it was emphasized to move towards social justice, a great effort was made to free farmers from the victims of meter-bagging, and a lot of effort was and is being done to address social justice by including the Nepalese youth abroad and those who are self-employed within the country in the social security fund,' he said. 'That campaign is still going on, we need to be serious about it.'

Chairman Dahal said that since the evicting of immigrants from the US and the occasional war in the Middle East and millions of Nepalis who went there may be forced to return to Nepal, we should prepare well for economic prosperity in the country. "If we do not prepare well within the country, if we do not prepare well in the direction of becoming self-sufficient by increasing production and productivity, the country may face a big problem at any time," he said.

He thanked Gulmi for instilling the culture of political understanding and political unity in Dhurkot and Malika. Dahal, who continued to criticize the government after joining the opposition, did not criticize any political party in the two programs held in Gulmi Malika and Dhurkot on Thursday.
