Free video x-ray service has started in Tilottama municipality of Rupandehi from Tuesday. Pregnant women within the municipality can get video x-ray services free of charge up to four times from the time of conception and if necessary after delivery.
Gyan Prasad Paudel, head of the municipality's health branch, informed that there will be no charge if the examination is done more than four times according to the doctor's recommendation. The beginning of this service is now Tilottma-6 Anandavan Health Chowki and Ward no. We have started from Semarabazar health post located at 10,' he said, 'It will be implemented in all wards gradually.'
Speaking at the launch of the free video x-ray service, Mayor Ramakrishna Khan said that it is important to take care of health as becoming a mother is not an easy situation for women. Saying that the municipality is responsible for the health of its citizens, he said that every time they do the latest work, they feel that they are together with the citizens.
Deputy Chief Jageshwar Devi Chaudhary said that it was approved to allocate the budget as it was considered a must-do program by every member of the executive while discussing this program . Although it was said that this service will be started from last July, the time has been extended while preparing the procedure, she said. "This kind of service will greatly help the eating class," she said, "the money spent on this check-up will now be able to be spent on buying healthy food."
The municipality is going to use a portable USG machine for this service. Tilottama-6 Ward President Ganesh Pathak informed that its market value is Rs 17 lakh. He said that since this machine can be taken along and moved, the service can be provided from one ward to another within a week to 15 days.
