Stakeholders have said that there is a need to create a joint mechanism between the two countries at the people's level in order to exchange the successful practices of Nepal and India against safe migration and human trafficking and to identify the problem and solve it.

The speaker of the Nepal-India regional dialogue held in Lumbini on Monday to solve the problem of safe immigration and human trafficking emphasized that a special program should be made to collect and analyze the actual details of migrant workers in both countries.

In the international program held in partnership between GIZ, BASE organization and Just Rights for Children, Executive Director of BASE Churna Bahadur Chaudhary highlighted the concept of regional dialogue.  Facilitation of the

dialogue program by journalist Sushil Basnet and senior information officer of Lumbini Development Fund. It was done by Haridhwaj Rai.

Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya inaugurated the program, former Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, Lumbini Province Planning Commission Vice President Dilliraj Aryal, Lumbini Technical University Vice Chancellor Dr. Vinod Prasad Dhakal, National Coordinator of Just Rights for Children Ravi Kant, President of Journalist Federation Lumbini Province Shukrarishi Choulagain and President of Non-Governmental Federation Lumbini Province Jeet Kumari Belwase gave speeches. 90 people participated in the

event including Nepal and India government officials, police, human rights workers, representatives of national and international organizations, civic leaders and media workers.
