An inter-provincial coordination meeting between the Chief Ministers of Lumbini and Gandaki provinces will be held on Wednesday, January 30, at Ranimahal, a major tourist spot in Palpa.
Toynarayan Subedi, Chief District Officer of Palpa, informed that the on-site inspection, stage management and other preparatory work have been progressing rapidly.
Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya and Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey and other provincial ministers, chief secretaries and secretaries are going to hold an inter-provincial coordination meeting.
A declaration of common commitment between the two provinces has also been prepared. The meeting of the two provinces to be held at the Ranimahal on the banks of the Kaligandaki river, 13 km from Tansen, is set to address the issues of common concern for prosperity and development.
Baburam Adhikari, Permanent Chief Secretary of Lumbini Province informed that the meeting to be held here is scheduled for the signing of a joint commitment letter by both the Chief Ministers. A joint commitment will be issued to include both provinces in the next annual policy and program and budget formulation.
It is believed that the meeting will be fruitful for cooperation, coordination and cooperation in the development and construction of the province. The meeting will also be important to maintain uniformity by discussing the tax system of both provinces, revenue, royalty, tourism, etc.
It is said that the meeting will be fruitful in identifying possible big projects that can be carried out with the cooperation of the larger interests of both the provinces. According to the Chief Secretary Officer, Lumbini has already held a similar meeting with Kanali and Sudurpaschim Province.
