The meeting of the UML district committee held in Ghorahi on Wednesday took action against Shah as he was not even an ordinary member.Sangit Basyal, Head of UML Dang's Propaganda Department, said that Shah was prosecuted for working against the interests of the party.

He said that Shah used to make statements against the party and leaders in public and on social media, and even after being warned several times, action was taken after there was no improvement. Shah was elected ward president from UML in the 2079 election. Basyal informed that a 176-member core management committee and various sub-committees have been formed under the coordination of district president Shivkumar Acharya to make the meeting held in Ghorahi a success.
