Targeting child laborers, a patient treatment room has been set up at Nauvasta Children's Correctional Home located at Baijnath-3 in Banke. Pushpa Basnet, president of the center, handed over the room established by the Early Childhood Development Center to the correctional home chief Shyam Bahadur Rana.
President Basnet said that according to the annual program of the financial year 2081/082, the Children's Correctional Home was supported. According to him, the center has been supporting children's correctional homes across the country. Accordingly, he said that nine children's correctional homes were supported in one of the programs.
On this occasion, the center has also provided 54 types of medicine needed for the patient room. 116 Dignity Kits with 11 types of health-promoting materials for child laborers, Kriyaputri boxes with 10 types of items and other 14 types of medicines have been supported.
The material was handed over by Manju Acharya, Head of Accounts of Primary Child Development Center. Shyam Bahadur Rana, the head of the Child Correctional Home, said that the Early Child Development Center Kathmandu has been receiving continuous support in the fields of education, health and nutrition, including food, treatment of child labourers.
