Lumbini State Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya informed about the work done by the state government in the meeting of the two-party state mechanism. Addressing the state-level joint meeting of the Congress and UML district structures, he said that one should not form an opinion by ignoring the achievements of the state government.

What was the state of development before and after the formation of the state government? Let's look at it again. The provincial government has done the development work in the villages now," he said. "The provincial government is becoming the center of trust of the citizens. The state is the driver of development and prosperity.'  He said that the government has increased its role by bringing the trend of

planning to implementation into rhythm. The previous government made a lot of piecemeal plans. We have also increased the size of the budget. The mistakes of that time have caused problems now," he said. "When the next budget is brought in around 33 to 34 billion, the province will catch the rhythm."  He said that the government is accepting the suggestions made in the

meeting and is increasing its role to speed up the work of the government. The budget of the current financial year is a common document. This year, the government will not bring a supplementary budget. We have speeded up the implementation of the budget," he said, "to prevent the irregularities seen in the selection of the plans, we had to take a ruthless decision to implement the plans above five lakhs through competition."  According to Chief Minister Acharya, such a decision had to be taken as there was a tendency to make

piecemeal plans and take personal benefits by implementing them in the name of Consumer Committee. He also informed that the work of paying last year's obligations is underway.

Nepali Congress President of Lumbini Province Amarsingh Pun and CPN-UML Lumbini Province in-charge Padma Aryal hosted the meeting in which the district presidents of both parties reported district wise.  The

meeting was attended by former Lumbini Province Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, UML Lumbini Province President Radhakrishna Kandel, other provincial government ministers, members of the House of Representatives and others.
