16 thousand 293 girls of West Nawalparasi will be given HPV vaccine against cervical cancer. Vaccination campaign is going to be conducted for girls and teenagers studying from classes 6 to 10 across the district from January 22nd to 28th.
According to Gaurav Dhakal, head of District Health Office Nawalparasi, vaccination campaign is going to be conducted through 201 vaccination centers in private and public schools in the district. In a program held in Parasi on Sunday to inform about the campaign, the participants stressed that even though school-going girls and teenagers participated in the vaccination campaign, efforts should be made to include 624 girls who are out of school. In the
campaign, the highest number of 3,317 people in Sunwal Municipality and the least number of 1,423 people in Susta Rural Municipality will be vaccinated.
