Former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal has announced that the 'East-West special people campaign' will be conducted to move forward with the people.
While returning from a visit to West Nepal, the capital Kathmandu, on Saturday evening, in the cadre meeting program organized by the CPN Maoist Center District Coordination Committee at Shivraj Municipality-3, Kharendrapur, Kapilvastu, Dahal mentioned that the people's hope and trust in the Maoists still remains and made the 'Maoist with the People' campaign the best campaign in the past. He said that he has moved forward with a goal.
In the last 18 months, the Maoist-led government said that good governance, corruption control and activities against social discrimination have had a positive impact. He claimed that the campaign to bring thousands of leaders-activists into the party to strengthen the party and move forward in a new way will bring the Maoists closer to the people. He also said that the party's central committee has passed a special resolution to ensure the rights of the Madhesi-Muslim community. In the
program, Central Secretary of CPN-Maoist Center Chakrapani Khanal alleged that the current government has failed to become citizen-friendly and that the country is in crisis because it is promoting corruption.
