The physical progress of the Siddha Baba Tunnel has been 40 percent. Through a press release, the Surung Marg project has said that 40.18 percent progress has been made till Thursday. Similarly, the financial progress is 39.90 percent.
It is mentioned in the statement that only 1.8 meters of the under-construction tunnel route is left to be dug in Dobhan Siddhababa, Tinau Rural Municipality-3 of Palpa under Siddharth Highway. The part to be dug out of the 1 thousand 16 meter tunnel is connected in 1 thousand 89 meters. Out of which, 1,87.2 meters of tunnels have been dug leaving 1.8 meters remaining for 'break through', said Krishnaraj Adhikari, the head of the project.
According to the project, 611 meters of tunnels were dug on the south side and 477.2 meters on the north side. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to attend the 'break through ceremony' program. 
Prime Minister Oli will blast a 1 meter 800 meter section by pressing the remote. Three bypass tunnels have already been connected to the main tunnel. Bypass has one 151, two 161 and three 130 meter tunnels.
The China State Construction Engineering Corporation has taken the contract for 7 billion 34 million 21 million rupees for the security work of the tunnel and the outer part. Here, work is being done on the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) model.
