Baburam Adhikari has held the charge of Chief Secretary of Lumbini Province. The Chief Secretary Officer was welcomed at the Chief Minister and Cabinet Office in Rapti Valley (Deukhuri) on Wednesday.

Earlier, the officer was working in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, Singh Darbar. While assuming responsibility, the Chief Secretary Officer has signed the decision to form a working group for the drafting of Local Civil Service Regulations and the necessary amendments to the Provincial Civil Service Regulations, 2080.

The Local Civil Service Act 2081 has been drafted and the necessary amendments have been made to the Provincial Civil Service Act. Now regulations have been started for the implementation of both Acts. 

A 6-member working group has been formed under the coordination of Provincial Secretary Ishwarraj Paudel. Its members include the Deputy Secretary of the Personnel Administration Branch of the Office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers, the Deputy Secretary of the Government Reform and Coordination Branch, the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law and the Deputy Secretary of Law of the Chief Minister's Office.
