A separate room has been arranged for emergency services at Garhwa health post. Lumbini Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya inaugurated the emergency room on Tuesday.
Expressing the opening speech, Acharya said that the state government is trying to create an environment of providing quality services in the villages by increasing the level of health posts. "There is a need to increase the level of health centers established in villages and add services," he said, "The state government has made it a priority." Citizens' right to health can be fulfilled only if they get quality health care in the village.
A separate cell has been established to provide 24-hour emergency health care in Garhwa Rural Municipality. Rural Municipality President Yamnarayan Sharma Pokhrel said that emergency services have been started to provide immediate treatment services to people who have accidents and sudden illnesses. He informed that a separate room has been established to make the emergency service effective. He said that the health post now provides obstetric services, video X-ray, X-ray and other general surgery and lab facilities.
Now a basic hospital of 15 beds is being constructed in Garhwa. Pokhrel said that if the construction of the hospital is completed, the compulsion to go out for treatment will be removed.
