Kidney dialysis service is going to start at Prithvichandra District Hospital West Nawalparasi. Even though the Lumbini state government had provided equipment and manpower a year ago, the service could not be operated due to lack of space.

As the hospital has constructed a new building and the old building will be vacated, the dialysis service is going to be operated in the old building. Dr. Mohammad Nurul Hoda, Medical Superintendent of Prithvichandra District Hospital, West Nawalparasi, said that a technician has been called to connect the equipment and the service will start in a few days.

For the first time in the district, dialysis service is about to start from the district hospital. Due to lack of dialysis services in the district, kidney patients have to go to Rupandehi and other districts for treatment.

Meanwhile, the district Prithvichandra Hospital has brought services into operation from the new building. Although it has not been formally inaugurated, all the services of the 50-bed hospital have been brought into operation from the new building.  The building has been constructed at a cost of 13.66 million rupees.
