One person died when two motorcycles coming from opposite directions collided at Balati Chowk in Thakurbaba Municipality-2 under East-West Highway.
Police said that 52-year-old Deep Bahadur Basnet of Thakurbaba-2, who was seriously injured when two motorcycles collided with each other on Monday, died during treatment.
Kedar Khanal, Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Bardia, said that he died during treatment at the district hospital, Gularia.
'Vehicle No. 8292 driven by Basnet and motorcycle No. 4738 driven by 21-year-old Dipesh Giri coming from the opposite direction collided,' he said, 'During the accident, 75-year-old Ram Bahadur Khadka of Thakurbaba Municipality-2, Dan Bahadur Khadka and Giri were injured. Giri and Dan Bahadur, among the injured, were sent to a teaching hospital for further treatment The police said that he was taken to Kohalpur.
