A tourism and business festival will be held on the occasion of Maghi, the biggest festival of the Tharu community, organized by the Association of Industries and Commerce, Bardia, Rajapur.

According to the organizers, all preparations have been made for the festival which will be conducted from December 29 to January 9 at the playground of Rajapur-4 Saraswati Community Forest. In the festival, there will be art reflecting the Tharu culture, songs and dances along with various dishes of the Tharu community. The organizers estimate that there will be a financial transaction of around 70 lakhs.  The slogan for the

festival is 'let's visit Bardia, let's encourage the tourism industry'. Kedar Thapa, president of the association, said that the festival will help to make industry, agriculture and industrial trade prosperous. According to him, more than one lakh spectators are expected to watch the festival.  120 stalls will be kept at the

tourism festival. In the festival, there will be a fun fair, programs reflecting Tharu culture, performances by national and local artists, and agricultural and industry-based items will be exhibited.
