Pickup van carrying oranges crashes in Rolpa, driver dies

The driver died when the pick-up van overturned while carrying oranges from Rolpa's Madi rural municipality-1 to Nepalgunj. 3 girls in the van are seriously injured.

Friday around 4:30 pm  On the road between Simpani and Lamputli in Triveni Rural Municipality-4 of Rolpa, the brake of van number Lu 1 Ch 8687 failed and the jeep fell about 20 meters below the road.  The police said that the 20-year-old driver Hukum Gharti Magar of Madi-1 Bhitbang was crushed to death.

Preparations are being made to take out the driver's body and send it to the hospital for post-mortem under the leadership of Chief Police Inspector Saroj Prajapati of the area police office in Holleri. The injured have been sent to Tulsipur Regional Hospital in Dang.
