Rupandehi police arrested 12 defendants in various cases who were absconding even after the court verdict. They were arrested by the police team deployed from District Police Office Rupandehi and various police units under it.
The Rupandehi District Court had sentenced the arrested defendants to imprisonment and punishment on various dates in the cases of banking crime, theft, transaction, shareholding, vehicular manslaughter, forgery and manslaughter.
According to the District Police Office, those arrested are Jit Bahadur Paija and Prakash Mall of Butwal sub-metropolitan city-11, Ratanahir Yadav of Kothimai Rural Municipality-5 of Rupandehi, Bikramadevi Mishra of Kothimai Rural Municipality-3, Rama Shankar Mishra and Shiv Shankar Mishra of Kothimai Rural Municipality-5. Kanhai Prasad Gaderia.
Shivshankar Kurmi, Premprasad Kurmi, Pujari Kurmi and Sandeep Kurmi of Rohini Rural Municipality-3 of Rupandehi and Radheshyam Ahir of Siddharthnagar Municipality-4 have also been arrested.
DSP and Information Officer Suraj Karki of the District Police Office said that all the arrested defendants were presented to the Rupandehi District Court on Wednesday for imprisonment and punishment.
