District Traffic Police Office Palpa has organized a health check-up program on the road to avoid driving when unwell and to get regular health check-ups.

The health of drivers and co-drivers of private and public vehicles has been tested in a camp organized with the help of doctors and health workers of Palpa Hospital. District Traffic Police Chief Ram Prasad Khanal said that the camp was held to create an environment for identifying health problems and treating them in time. For the

camp, Senior HA Mahendra Shrestha from Palpa Hospital, District Hospital Palpa, Staff Nurse Anita Pandey, Technician Dheeraj Kurmi for eye examination conducted blood pressure check as well as first aid and general eye examination. 

The traffic police has recently intensified the traffic awareness program to reduce vehicle accidents. As part of the same program, the traffic department has conducted health tests on the road to understand the health condition of drivers and co-drivers. Kamal Pradhan, Police Inspector of the District Police Office, said that the driver's eyes and high blood pressure are the most likely factors in the accident.
