An old man died in a collision with a truck in Tulsipur on Thursday. 70-year-old Tek Bahadur Giri of Tulsipur-5, a pedestrian, died when a truck numbered Lu 1 B 6893, which was going to the bus park from Birendra Chowk, Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-5, hit BP Chowk.
Giri, who was injured in a truck collision, died at the Nepalgunj Nursing Home during treatment. The injured Giri was referred to Nepalgunj for further treatment after initial treatment at Rapti Provincial Hospital Tulsipur.
Truck driver Prem Bahadur Sunar, 45 years old from Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city-14, has been arrested and further investigation is being conducted on the incident, according to Tulsipur police office of Ela.
