Ramgram Municipality of West Nawalparasi has started distribution of firewood after the cold wave. Firewood has been distributed to heat fires in public places as people's lives have been affected by the cold wave for three to four days.

Dhanpat Yadav, head of Ramgram Municipality, said that firewood was distributed free of charge in the main square, market area and rural areas of the city. 

Firewood has been distributed to the public places of 18 wards of the city because it is convenient for the daily wage earners and poor people to light a fire in public places.

All the seven municipalities of the district have allocated a budget of 20 million to 50 million rupees for disaster management, but due to the failure to formulate a plan for possible disasters, the public has not been able to prepare for relief and avoid disasters in time. .

The cold wave has also affected life in areas such as Kawasoti, Daldale, Chormara, the headquarters of East Nawalparasi.
