Police have arrested a youth who was carrying drugs from Ramdi in Palpa. 28-year-old Chok Bahadur Shrestha of Kaski Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality-9, Prithvi Chowk was arrested with drugs from the bank of Kaligandaki River located in Bagnaskali Rural Municipality-5, Ramdi.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Malla informed that Shrestha, who was walking suspiciously with a bag, was detained by a team from Ramdi police station. According to him, Shrestha, who was walking along the river bank with a blue backpack, was arrested and searched and drugs were found. The police said that 138 ampoules of narcotics were found with him, including 46 ampoules of Nofin, 46 ampoules of Diazepam, and 46 ampoules of Phenergan.

Shrestha has been remanded by the district court for investigation, the police said.
