One person died in a car accident in Dang on Wednesday afternoon. 50-year-old Tularam Bik of Rajpur Rural Municipality-3, Bhaisehwa died when the auto rickshaw No. RA 1 H 5904, which was going from Rajpur to Koilabas, overturned on the Garhwa Rural Municipality-5, Kakrahwa under the Garhwa-Koilabas road section.
District Police Spokesperson DSP Ishwar Thapa said that Bik, who was injured in the accident, died during treatment at the Rapti Health Science Institute, Ghorahi. He informed that the car went out of control while turning in a roundabout.
40-year-old Basanti Bik and 36-year-old Premchandra Yadav of Bhaisehwa were injured in the accident. Bik's Lamhi Hospital and Yadav's Rapti Institute of Health Sciences are being treated in Ghorahi.
Auto driver Madan Bik, 40, of Bhaisehwa, has been arrested and further investigation is being conducted into the accident, said DSP Thapa.
