In Bardghat Municipality-5 of West Nawalparasi, the recommendation of the ward has to be taken before marriage.

Ward President Vimala Gurung said that in order to prevent child marriage, both boys and girls living in the ward must take age recommendation.

Ward has been declared child-friendly and arrangements have been made for its long-term implementation. Ward has requested everyone to celebrate marriage only after taking the mandatory recommendation from the ward office before organizing the marriage program at home.

Ward was declared child-friendly local government ward on 26th October.
