Former Nepali Congress leader Romani Pathak passed away. Pathak, who was suffering from cancer for a long time, passed away on Friday morning at his residence at Manigram in Rupandehi. According to family sources, the funeral will be held at Tinau Ghat near Manigram.
Pathak was active in the Nepali Congress along with the democratic movement. He was equally active in social contribution through social organizations.
Pathak Rammani, the founding president of the Saraswati Sanskrit Campus in Manigram, was also the founder of the Multipurpose Campus and later became the president. Pathak, who has played a leading role in many social works of Rupandehi, is known by everyone in this area as a selfless, sincere and helpful leader.
Mayor Ramakrishna Khan of Tilottama Municipality said that the people of Rupandehi and the democratic movement have suffered a great loss due to his death. He mentioned that after the death of Neta Pathak, they have lost a reliable and advising parent.
