The Lamhi-Bhalubang road section under the East-West Highway, which was blocked since Tuesday evening after the death of a motorcyclist due to a collision with a school bus, has been opened since night.
The road was opened after agreeing to provide employment to the deceased's wife, free education for children up to 12th standard and adequate compensation to the family.
32-year-old local Krishna Bahadur Shahi died when a private school bus numbered RA 1 K 1418 hit a motorcycle number RA 5 P 2601 in Rapti Rural Municipality-8, Bijauri on Tuesday evening.
After his death, his relatives blocked the road demanding compensation. A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a truck at that place on Monday evening.
Even after the incident, the relatives of the deceased blocked the road on Tuesday afternoon. After the agreement, the road was opened.
