Police have arrested three absconding defendants who were sentenced in different cases of Bardia District Court on the same day. Basant Kumar Kurmi of Gulria Municipality-11, who is absconding in the child sexual abuse case, has been arrested by the verdict of 25th August. The court sentenced Kurmi to 2 months and 4 days imprisonment.

District Police Office, Bardia Information Officer and DSP Rishiram Ghartimagar Jagatram alias Alice of Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-8 who was sentenced to 1 month and 6 days imprisonment in the case of theft of a necklace by the court on 24th July 2080 Subedi said that he was arrested. 

DSP Ghartimagar said that in the same case, Santosh Nepali of Baghaital Gapa-8, who was sentenced to 1 month and 6 days imprisonment by the judgment of the District Court on 24th July 2008, was arrested. 

The police said that the three arrested persons have been filed in the District Court, Bardia for necessary action.
