The identity of the motorcyclist who died in a collision with a truck in Dang on Monday evening has been revealed. District Police Spokesperson DSP Ishwar Thapa said that 18-year-old Sonu Gurung of Rapti Rural Municipality-3 Vasantpur in Dang was the deceased.

The driver was killed when a truck No. Ba 4 B 2261 going from Surkhet to Bhairahwa hit a motorcycle No. Ra 8 Pa 4146 coming from the opposite direction in Rapti Rural Municipality-2, Katesh Nala under East-West Highway.

The injured driver was taken to Bhalubang Hospital for treatment and the doctor declared him dead. DSP Thapa informed that 41-year-old Som Tamang of Sunapati rural municipality-5 Ramechhap, the truck driver, has been detained and further investigation is being conducted into the incident.
