Manita Shakya of Tansen municipality-5 Taksar tol was invited to make Yomri. Three/four sisters were helping him. They were able to hold a crowd of customers as they made different yomaris made from Palpali Karuva in the shape of Lord Ganesha.

On the occasion of Dhanyapurnima, the ``Yomari'' festival held last Saturday in Newari village of Tansen Municipality-3 Taksar attracted the attention of many. 

Shakya, who is also the president of the organizer Maitri Club, said that she had the opportunity to eat Yomari as well as other Newari dishes. Knives (veli) made by the Newari community, yomri of food, bara of meat, chicken, prawns, and mushroom sticks were also kept in the festival. Food dishes like Newari dish Takhala, Sinki's jhol etc. were also kept. Sandhya Shakya of Taksar tol said, "The customer ate the Yomri food with great taste." Yomari Festival has been held here in Yomari Pune for 5 years. 

Local Susma Maharjan said that the festival is a festival to preserve the Newari tradition. What is Yomari to some? We didn't even know how it was made,' she said, 'We set up a stall at the festival so that everyone could see it and get information. Yomari as well as food dishes were served at the festival. festival. Gulio (knife and sesame) Kurauni (Khuwa) and those who like the different taste of mas, she said that she made mas and khuwa. Those who came to the festival ate the Newari community's dish thalathle masu (tahkhala) as a taste. Elderly people were also among the yomari makers. Ward President Baburatna Shakya said that the festival was successful in saving the culture and teaching the new generation.

'It was found that other communities ate with more interest than the Newar community,' Shakya said. Mayor Santosh Lal Shrestha said that because the festival has increased the excitement, foreign tourists have also visited it. He said that the festival will help in the preservation of Tansen's historical art culture and help in tourism promotion. Prami Shrestha, President of Tansen Guthi Kathmandu, said that the new generation should show interest in protecting culture. She said that there is a commendable work in the field of art and culture. Yomari food was arranged in more than 25 stalls at the festival.
