The seventh general meeting and the fourth session of the Palpa Business Association elected Bishnu Bahadur Karki unopposed as the president.

Kamal Dhakal as the senior vice-president of the association, Yuvraj Shrestha as the vice-president, Sitam Bhandari as the women's vice-president,  Tul Bahadur Adhikari, Treasurer Kapilkrishna Karki, Secretary Narayan Basyal and Ambika Timilsena have been elected as General Secretary. The members of the

working committee are Laxman Gautam, Uma Aryal, Gokul Paudel, Sapna Shahi, Shashi Shrestha, Dhankumari Pathak, Rita Pandey, Prajna Sagar Shakya, Vinod Khati, Kalpana Pokhrel and Ravindra Acharya.

Earlier, while opening the general assembly and session, Thakur Gayre, the member of the House of Representatives and the chairman of the implementation monitoring and evaluation committee of the director of principles, policies and responsibilities of the state, emphasized on the need to work in the interests of industrialists and businessmen. He emphasized on the need to bring relief programs to industrial traders who are suffering from various reasons. 

Minister of Health of Lumbini Province Khem Saru stressed that industrialists and traders should be united and work to support the overall economic sector. In the program, the representatives of political parties and various organizations suggested that trade associations should work in a way that benefits the entire industry and businessmen.

Palpa Business Association has more than 800 members, said outgoing president Bamdev Basyal.
