In order to make the Orange Festival a success, the two municipalities have declared a local holiday on Sunday. Rainadevi Chhahara and Ribdikot Rural Municipality have given a local holiday on Sunday to make the orange festival on Saturday and Sunday a success.
An orange festival is going to be held at Rainadevi Chhahara-5, Muzung Kataujepani, organized by two municipalities. President of Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality Rukmagat Bhattarai, Chairman of Ribdikot Rural Municipality Narayan Bahadur Karki said that the meeting of the political parties as well as the festival organizing committee decided to give a holiday on Sunday. They said that the
festival is held to develop skills and knowledge in orange production, market promotion, orange dishes as well as garden management.
Both local levels have allocated a budget of 5/5 lakh for the festival. This year, the farmers have been disturbed by problems such as hail cutting flowers, plants turning yellow, plants drying up, small oranges growing, turning sour, seeds turning yellow quickly .
"The municipality's attention has turned to celebrating the festival rather than managing disease pests," said orange farmer Hom Bahadur Bhattarai, "We urge you to find a way to make technical arrangements and control disease pests." Bhattarai has more than 300 orange plants. Most of the plants are diseased. No problem for
orange sales . Traders have been exporting oranges by reaching the plants and gardens.
