Residents of Tinau rural municipality-2 Dobhan of Palpa have to suffer due to the lack of repair of the washed out road. The road between Jamune and Jhangla on the road connecting Dobhan-Jhangla-Hariyali villages has not been able to operate for three months after the road was washed away.

Locals said that after the concrete bridge of Dobhan-Nuwakot road collapsed, more than half a dozen settlements were unable to operate vehicles as well as use short distance roads. Almost 80 meters of the road has been washed away by a landslide in Banchare Hill. Sherjung Thapa, a local, said that after the road was washed away, the vehicles could not move for three months due to lack of repairs. "Vehicles could not run on the road since three or four months ago," he said.

After the Dobhan river washed away the base stone of the landslide, about 15 meters of the road has washed away. The residents of Jhangla, Bagaha, Paltange, Khulkhule, Bhutaha, Harialigaon, Hapur, Mahapur and other villages of Dobhan have faced problems in commuting after the road was washed away. According to the locals, it is impossible to walk in the flooded area. Locals said that they used to move around with ladders. When the river was big, small vehicles could be found only by crossing the suspension bridge from the village to the village across the river.

In addition to the movement of people, the residents of that area also have to bear the burden of carrying the dead body. Since the previous year, the process of road flooding had started from the lower part. Four months ago, after the road began to be flooded, vehicles were not able to move. Prem Shrestha, chairman of the rural municipality, said that an alternative road has been prepared by placing a hume pipe for the residents of this area to go to Butwal for the ward and rural municipality office as well as the market.

Chairman Shrestha said that the mountain has collapsed and President Chure has already sent a letter to the Terai Madhesh Conservation Development Committee. "Since the village is in ruins and forest area, the municipality could not do anything immediately," he said.
